Just Community

No matter how much we try to conceal brokenness with materialism, hectic lives, and other "band-aids" the truth is that we live in a broken world that cries for reconciliation.  Most of us know that God desires us to serve and love one another.  However, many of us do not have a theological foundation for reconciliation beyond "Love your neighbor as yourself."  

We believe that when we develop a deep understanding of God's passion for justice, peace, and reconciliation then all receive healing in the process - those who serve and those being served.  We also believe that when City Community Church has a deep knowledge about God's vision for justice, then we will become a "Just Community" of disciples that live out that knowledge in tangible, everyday practice.

So we are going to study the biblical framework for justice and reconciliation through exploring the Text, as well as using media and a book called Reconciling All Things.  This book is recommended and can be reviewed and purchased at the following site: http://www.ivpress.com/cgi-ivpress/book.pl/code=3451.

Who is City Community Church?

We’re ordinary people with an extraordinary belief that God is doing something amazing in the city of Indianapolis.
